Calum Howe
Attorney
Calum is a commercial attorney and business advisor with more than a decade of experience leading legal and contracts functions for complex, cross-border projects. He focuses his practice on sophisticated commercial transactions, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) arrangements, technology and software agreements, and other large-scale, capital-intensive projects across the energy, infrastructure, and renewables sectors.
Before joining Conroy Baran, Calum served in a series of senior in-house and commercial roles, most recently as Deputy General Counsel for a solar energy developer, where he managed EPC-related contracting, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. He previously held leadership positions with global industrial and energy companies, advising on major BESS and EV charging initiatives, conventional and renewable power projects, and complex services and supply arrangements around the world. Earlier in his career, Calum acted as regional and global legal counsel for an international oilfield services company, overseeing legal affairs for operations in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Clients value Calum’s pragmatic, business-focused approach, his ability to navigate diverse cultural and legal environments, and his track record of helping teams manage risk without losing sight of commercial objectives. He regularly works side-by-side with executives, project leadership, and commercial teams to structure, negotiate, and implement agreements that are practical in the field and aligned with long-term strategy.
